Art and Work in Alaska

July 19  Here are a couple pics of Matt and son packing up after their 2 weeks of fishing and stocking up for the winter. Matt has kept us in King Salmon.

Dad tells me the bridge over the Yukon has a 7% grade. I believe it because I've walked it about two miles beyond it up the road to get a better view of the valley. Coming back feels like walking down a step-ladder. The pipeline runs along the right side of the bridge here. There are cameras and loudspeakers as well and there is heavy surveillance and security at all times. Over the CB radio that the truckers use as they fly by, I've heard one say "Who's that idiot walking on the bridge?"
