5/30 Just so you know- when something is tagged as posted by Bebe, it might have really been posted as me, Dan. Bwa-ha-ha! Moving on- the mosquito is Alaska's bird. Andrew, the Fort Point bird artist should be told. Moving on- this place is a dump, as one of my co-workers so rightly identified it. Apparently the reason why they call it a "camp" is all the buildings leak, or did until recently, and have evidence of stains and sagging panels, ceilings, walls, etc. Some places worse than others. It recently rained for 3 days- the cafe had many leaks. They say these will be fixed soon. I hear it rained a bit recently back home in Boston also. But we have something Boston hasn't got- mosquitoes. Everywhere. And soon horseflies and blackflies.
Some art below I've been able to produce. Did several things of this mountain at Coldfoot Camp on the Koyakuk River, this side of the Brooks Range. Can you see the mosquitoes?
The Yukon River and our wonderful clouds. Can you see the mosquitoes now?
