In the Pipeline

This pipeline runs parallel to the Dalton Highway from Prudhoe Bay on the Arctic Ocean down to Valdez on the southern coast. It was put in in the mid-seventies when oil was discovered. Bebe's cousins Joanne and Susan worked on it when it was being built. Our employers run 3 motel/cafe outposts on the highway. One at Deadhorse just off the oilfields, one midway at the base of the Brooks Range, and the one we are at called Yukon River Camp.
